Glycerin 99,5 % for technical applications

We offer here vegetable glycerin with a purity of 99.5%. Glycerin is obtained from oils and fats, it is produced, among other things, in the production of biodiesel. It is a clear, almost transparent liquid, which is honey-like viscous to thin, depending on the temperature. This product originates from GMO-free sources.

Application

Glycerin has a hygroscopic effect (binds water), this property makes it an ideal humectant. In watercolor paints, it protects against drying out. Glycerin is an excellent plasticizer, which is added to starch-based films to prevent them from becoming brittle. It also serves as an antifreeze and lubricant, and as a reactant in the production of dyes, plastics and microchips.

We also stock glycerin in 86.5%. It is technically easier to handle because of its lower melting point and viscosity.
