Sodium citrate E331

We offer here high-quality sodium citrate with a grain size of 30 - 100 mesh. This is the sodium salts of citric acid. This is a natural, odourless and colourless crystalline substance with a salty and slightly acidic taste. It is produced by neutralising citric acid with caustic soda. Our product is produced in Belgium and meets high purity criteria. It has a water content of approx. 12.15 - 12.5 % and a content of at least 99.7 %.

Applications

Trisodium citrate can be used for cleaning and has proven particularly effective in removing limescale deposits, for example in kettles. It is also used in detergents as a water softener and pH regulator. Because of these properties, trisodium citrate is also generally used as an acidity regulator in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
