White Soap Base – The Perfect Foundation for Handmade Soaps
Our white soap base is the ideal starting point for your homemade soaps, offering endless creative possibilities to customise your soap creations exactly as you wish. Thanks to its unscented and low-odour formula, it blends beautifully with added fragrances. It is particularly popular for crafting colourful soaps enhanced with vibrant pigments.
Made with a glycerine base, this soap cleanses gently and produces a creamy lather that leaves the skin feeling soft, smooth, and moisturised. This plant-based melt and pour soap base is specifically developed for soap production and is easy to work with. Whether for personal use or as a handmade gift, this versatile base allows you to create unique soap bars with added colours, fragrances, botanicals, or glitter.
Making Your Own Soap with a Soap Base
Thanks to the simple melt & pour process, you can easily melt, customise, and pour your soap into moulds.
- Preparation: Cut the required amount of soap base into small pieces.
- Melting: Melt the soap base in a water bath at approx. 75 °C, or in the microwave (1 kg pack: approx. 2 minutes).
- Customising: Once fully melted, you can slowly and thoroughly stir in your chosen additives such as colours, fragrances, glitter or dried flowers. You can add up to 3% in total, with a maximum of 1% fragrance.
- Pouring: Carefully pour the melted soap into your chosen moulds. Lightly spray the surface with rubbing alcohol to prevent air bubbles.
- Cooling & Curing: Let the soap cool and set completely before removing it from the mould. You can either let it set in moulds or leave it to harden in the packaging. For best results, allow the soap to rest for about 24 hours in a cool place – this makes it easier to unmould. Once fully cured, the soap bars can be packaged or used straight away.
How Many Soap Bars Can I Make from 1 kg of Soap Base?
From 1 kg of soap base, you can typically create around 10 standard soap bars (100 g each). The exact number depends on the size of your moulds and may vary slightly due to trimming or spills during pouring.
Can I Re-melt the Soap Base?
Yes, the soap base can be gently re-melted and reused multiple times without losing its quality.
