Citric Acid Anhydrous E330, 30 – 80 Mesh – Finely granulated and highly concentrated acid
Citric acid anhydrous is one of the most widely used organic acids in the food and beverage industry, as well as in many other sectors. Naturally occurring and industrially produced from plant-based sources, it is a colourless, odourless acid available in its pure form as a granulate. Manufactured in one of the largest production facilities in China using advanced methods, our product meets the highest quality standards, is GMO-free, and stands out due to its exceptional purity.
The 30 – 80 mesh granulation of citric acid anhydrous offers a fine particle size, dissolves easily in water, and allows for precise dosing. This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications. citric acid anhydrous in a 12 – 40 mesh granulation
Applications
- Food industry: As a pH regulator, acidifier, and preservative in beverages, confectionery, jams, and various other products.
- Cosmetics & pharmaceuticals: For stabilising formulations, adjusting pH levels, and preserving products.
- Cleaning industry: A powerful, water-soluble descaling agent used in household and industrial cleaning powders.
For applications requiring slower solubility, we also offer citric acid anhydrous in a 12 – 40 mesh granulation, which is particularly suitable for the chemical industry and cleaning agents.
What is the difference between Citric Acid Anhydrous E330, 30 – 80 Mesh and 12 – 40 Mesh?
The key difference is particle size. 12 – 40 mesh is a coarser granulation compared to 30 – 80 mesh. The advantage of the coarser grade is that it is less prone to clumping during storage. However, for processes that require precise dosing, the finer 30 – 80 mesh granulation is more suitable.
What is the difference between Citric Acid Anhydrous and Monohydrate?
The main difference lies in their moisture content. Citric acid anhydrous is virtually water-free (moisture content ≤ 0.5 %), making it more concentrated than citric acid monohydrate (approx. 7.5 – 8.8 % water content). It also does not introduce additional moisture into formulations. This is particularly beneficial in applications requiring strict moisture control, such as in powdered blends, anhydrous formulations, or hygroscopically sensitive products, as it can enhance both stability and shelf life.
Storage Advice
Citric acid should be stored in a dry place at room temperature.
