Calcium Ascorbate E 302 - buffered Vitamin C Powder
Calcium ascorbate, also known as buffered vitamin C, is a less acidic variant of vitamin C that is characterised by its gentle effect. This powder, also known as calcium L-ascorbate, is colourless and odourless and dissolves well in water.
What is buffered vitamin C?
Buffered vitamin C is used as a food additive and dietary supplement to increase the vitamin C content in foods. It is considered an essential nutrient that fulfils numerous important functions in the human body. Among other things, vitamin C supports the immune system, promotes normal functioning of the nervous system and helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue. Calcium L-ascorbate is also used as an antioxidant and flour treatment agent.
What is the difference between vitamin C and buffered vitamin C?
Vitamin C in buffered form has the same properties as pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid), but is less acidic due to the combination with calcium. This combination neutralises the acidity of the vitamin. At the same time, the calcium it contains contributes to the maintenance of healthy bones.
