Emulsifier Glyceryl Stearate Citrate

We offer here the emulsifier GSC (Glyceryl Stearate Citrate). GSC is a very widely used base emulsifier that has many advantages. This emulsifier is especially useful in O/W emulsions, which have a light and elegant feel. The textures are very similar to other emulsifiers like T-Muls or Foodmuls, but the emulsifier GSC - Glyceryl Stearate Citrate - is not as pH sensitive. Emulsions are very stable and have an improved viscosity due to the emulsifier. The product is made of 100 % natural ingredients and is used worldwide under the INCI name GLYCERYL STEARATE CITRATE.

Our emulsifier GSC can be used in various formulations, including skin creams, facial creams, sunscreen formulations and many other O/W emulsions.

The emulsifier GSC is melted in the fat phase as usual and then stirred with the heated water phase. However, it can also be heated and dispersed in the water phase. Good homogenisation of the final formulation is important.

Melting range: 59 - 63 °C

Typical application concentration: 1.5 to approx. 3%.
