Rapeseed Wax 5761 Fine Grain
This rapeseed wax is a carefully adjusted mixture of hardened and partially hardened rapeseed oil, with a small proportion of high-melting other waxes. This product is free of paraffins from mineral oil.
Our rapeseed wax 5761 is natural beige with a dropping point of approx. 57 - 61 °C. The product meets the requirements of the European directives and national regulations for the production of pillar candles, votive candles and is suitable for use as candle burning mass. The product complies with the requirements of RAL 041 Appendix 1. All common candle shapes can be produced by casting or pressing. Rapeseed wax is produced from the rape plant. During the manufacturing process, the rapeseed oil is pressed out of the rapeseed grain and then hardened to wax. As a domestic renewable raw material, rapeseed is biodegradable. Rapeseed has a good ecological balance in the overall process. This is due to the fact that this raw material has short ways and the extraction can be carried out on the best cultivated area.
Application
This rapeseed wax with a medium melting point is suitable for candles. This rapeseed wax is especially suitable for the production of pillar candles, votive candles and other candles. With its natural beige colouring, rapeseed wax can be coloured with wax colours. In the candle production with rapeseed wax the candles receive a porcelain-like appearance, the colours are slightly less intensive, pastel shades can be obtained easily by less addition of the wax colour concentrate. The processing and burning behaviour of rapeseed wax is approximately the same as that of paraffin wax, the main difference being that it may be easier to demould the candles as the rapeseed wax contracts as it cools. The dropping point is just over 59 °C. In addition to candle production, rapeseed wax is also ideally suited for the addition of fragrance oils, as it has excellent retention properties for fragrances, which can develop their full aroma especially when burnt. Nevertheless, appropriate firing tests / manufacturing trials should of course be carried out before each replacement.
We supply the wax offered here in fine grain form. The goods are packed in 25 kg bags or in small containers.
Natural products can vary in colour, depending on the batch, and do not always correspond to the colour shade in the pictures. The quality of the products is consistently high.
